About the Position

This position requires the care of patients across all age ranges. Applicants must have experience in handling a variety of patient diagnoses. The nurse will manage patients with complex medical conditions. Every other weekend work is required. Holidays will be scheduled as needed. Floating within the specialty may be necessary. No pre-scheduled on-call requirements apply. The average daily census for the unit is approximately 130 patients. The nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:4. Previous charge experience is preferred. Familiarity with a charting system is a plus. The role involves a range of skills including managing ventilated patients and conducting triage. Candidates must be comfortable with various emergency procedures and patient assessments. Travel experience is beneficial but not mandatory. Compliance with necessary certifications is required prior to starting the position.
