Counselor

Overview COUNSELOR | $30.00 per hour Position Summary The Counselor will receive and manage referrals directly from Adult Protective Services (APS), conduct in-depth assessments, and provide direct support and advocacy to clients—particularly older adults. This role emphasizes trauma-informed care, client-centered practices, and empowering individuals to achieve their self-directed goals. Key Responsibilities Receive and manage referrals from Adult Protective Services (APS). Conduct in-depth assessments to identify client needs, strengths, and goals. Apply trauma-informed care and client-centered practices. Perform required home visits and community-based interactions. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records. Provide direct support and advocacy for clients, especially older adults. Collaborate with internal teams and community partners. Work at additional locations as needed. Must possess a valid Texas Driver\'s License. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in a social or behavioral science (Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling). Two (2) years of professional counseling or related social services experience required. Master\'s degree in a social or behavioral science may substitute for the experience requirement.
