Program Manager, Environmental Health and Safety - Carmel, IN Hiring immediately! Salary range: $70k-$75k annually. About the Team and Position The Safe & Secure Team helps keep over 15,000 associates at 200+ locations safe and secure every day. They develop our Environmental Health and Safety strategy for the enterprise, ensuring associate safety is a paramount priority. By leveraging their expertise and balancing business needs, the team ensures we do the right thing for our teams, our communities, and our business. We look for an enthusiastic and experienced Health and Safety Program Management professional who will bring passion and expertise to ensure our Associate's safety. This position works closely with business partners and project teams to identify gaps, develop solutions, and implement programs related to associate safety and health. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with a passion for environmental health and safety, stellar attention to detail, flexibility, and a focus on implementation and execution. What You Will Do Assess current processes and identify gaps that could lead to increased risk for associates at sites. Collaborate with Safe & Secure departments and business partners to find solutions that meet business needs while reducing risk. Use data to identify areas of potential concern and monitor program performance. Stay informed of regulatory environment and develop world‑class processes and programs. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of projects/programs. Establish strong communication protocols to keep key partners informed of progress and support needed. Develop deep relationships with business partners to balance business needs with program goals. Act as the Environmental Health and Safety SME and collaborate with the Safe & Secure Support Field team to manage programs from afar. Contribute to creating a safe environment, gather feedback, implement changes, and follow up for continuous improvement. Constantly seek ways to improve programs, including employee and candidate experience, talent management practices, reporting, design, and more. Other duties as assigned. What You Should Know / Have Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or similar (will accept other majors if combined with 5+ years of experience in safety management roles). 3–5 years of experience working with EH&S program development or implementation. Relevant health and safety credentials (ASP/CSP, SMS, OSHA 30, etc.). Experience managing corporate‑level safety programs. Experience implementing health and safety management platforms. Experience writing Environmental, Health and Safety programs and policies. Strong organizational, project management, and program management skills. Proven ability to interact effectively at all levels, including senior management. A high degree of integrity and honesty to handle sensitive or confidential information. Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. Ability to coach and motivate others with high influencing skills. The energy and drive to accomplish goals, meet deadlines, and find solutions. Must be able to prioritize, problem‑solve, and work under pressure in a deadline‑driven, rapidly changing organization. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree. Experience with Workday. Experience with Google Suite. Experience in instructional design.
