Position Summary

The Sr. Analyst, Customer Facing Demand Planning sits within the demand planning organization, part of the Supply Chain Inventory Planning team and serves as the primary owner of customer–level demand execution for assigned accounts. This role reports to the Director of Customer Facing Demand Planning. They execute the customer-specific demand remit for the assigned accounts, managing inventory positioning, and service levels at the account level, while capturing and qualifying inbound demand signals including new product launches, and translating that customer intelligence back into the consensus planning process.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Demand Execution

• Maintain the customer portfolio for assigned accounts, managing formulary changes, product switches, and customer-specific inventory positions to ensure the customer-product data feeding into demand planning accurately reflects current program commitments and account relationships.

• Own sequestration for assigned accounts, creating and maintaining inventory buckets, assigning the correct customer accounts to each program, and coordinating with DC inventory teams to move product and discontinue sequestered item numbers as needed.

• Execute customer-specific award switch management for assigned accounts, updating the demand signal, adjusting the forecast for outgoing items, loading anticipated demand for incoming items, and coordinating with key stakeholders to confirm timing before transitions go live.

• Manage new customer onboarding for assigned accounts, including tracking, analysis, inventory builds, allocation planning, coverage reporting, SL queries, and omit analysis to ensure readiness for go-live.

• Manage customer-facing calls and relationships within the context of customer demand for assigned accounts, handling ad-hoc inquiries, SL questions, and contractual requirement tracking to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.

Demand Signal Intake & Translation

• Capture and qualify demand intelligence from assigned accounts, translating customer-specific signals including new product launches, promotional activity, program changes, and account-level shifts into structured forecast inputs, operational rules, and purchasing inputs that are consumable by the consensus demand planning team.

• Monitor and manage upstream demand inputs for assigned accounts, including program changes, new launch items, promotional activity, and customer-specific shifts, ensuring they are captured proactively and reflected in the plan before they create a supply risk.

• Own the handoff of enriched demand signal inputs from assigned accounts to the consensus demand planning team, ensuring inputs are complete, documented, and delivered on time within the monthly planning cycle.

• Maintain an active working relationship with the consensus demand planning team, ensuring demand signal inputs for assigned accounts are understood, accepted, and incorporated into the consensus forecast without delays or misalignment.

Service Level Reporting & Analytics

• Create, publish, and monitor service level reports for assigned accounts, provisioning SL tracking metrics and ensuring that performance data is accurate, timely, and actionable for both internal planning teams and customer-facing stakeholders.

• Conduct root cause analysis on service level escalations for assigned accounts, identifying precipitating events, distinguishing supply-side from demand-side causes, and providing education and context to sales teams and customers to support sell-side conversations.

• Create queries and reports from multiple data sources to support data-driven decisions for assigned accounts, producing dashboards and insights that drive adjustments and surface emerging service risk before it becomes a customer issue.

Process Improvement & Project Management

• Lead process improvement initiatives within the assigned account set, owning at least one project per year focused on improving demand accuracy, customer experience, or operational efficiency within the team.

• Define and maintain templates, forms, and intake documentation for assigned accounts, reducing email churn and rework by ensuring that requests from customers and internal partners arrive in a structured, actionable format.

• Identify and escalate process gaps or systemic friction points within the assigned account set to the Director, providing a clear description of the issue and a recommended solution.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics or related field, or equivalent experience.

Critical Skills

• Functional proficiency in Kinaxis Maestro or comparable advanced planning system.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated experience managing customer programs, sequestration models, or high-touch account relationships.
• Managing a high-volume, operationally intensive account portfolio with precision, ensuring that customer commitments, program changes, and demand signal inputs are handled accurately and on time.

• Translating customer intelligence into structured, high-quality demand signal inputs that improve forecast accuracy and reduce supply risk for assigned accounts.

• Conducting root cause analysis on service level misses with enough depth and accuracy to equip sales teams and customers with credible, well-framed explanations.

• Building and maintaining trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional partners while maintaining the objectivity required to challenge demand signals that do not reflect system or market reality.

• Adapting quickly to new system capabilities and ways of working, including Kinaxis Maestro, and maintaining execution quality on assigned accounts through the transition.

Additional Skills

• Experience managing sequestration programs, or high-touch strategic customer inventory models is a strong plus.

• Experience managing customer onboarding processes.

• Comfort managing a high volume of concurrent account activities with precision, prioritizing effectively when multiple issues require simultaneous attention.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage customers and sales teams directly and translate supply chain complexity into clear, actionable context.
  

Physical Requirements

• Traditional office requirements. A large percentage of time performing computer-based work is required.
• Hybrid role, must live near Las Colinas office.
• Up to 5% travel.

Compensation Range

$104,000-138,600-173,300 with 15% MIPs bonus eligibility.

This role is a hybrid position . The selected candidate is expected to work on-site at our Las Colinas office a minimum of two (2) days per week , with the remaining days worked remotely. Specific in-office days may be designated based on team needs and business priorities.
