Solar Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking a Solar Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of commercial and utility-scale solar projects from planning through to completion. Working closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, suppliers and clients, you will help coordinate activities, maintain accurate project records and ensure work is delivered safely, on time and within budget. Key responsibilities will include assisting with project schedules, budgets, procurement and resource planning; tracking milestones, actions, variations and risks; preparing progress reports and project documentation; and coordinating meetings, site visits and communication between internal and external stakeholders. You will help monitor construction progress, review technical and commercial information, support quality assurance processes and contribute to the resolution of project issues. The role will also involve maintaining document control systems, supporting health and safety compliance, and ensuring that relevant permits, inspections and deliverables are managed effectively.


Applicants should have experience in project coordination, construction, engineering, energy or a related environment, together with a strong interest in solar power and the wider renewable energy sector. A qualification in project management, engineering, construction management, business or a similar discipline would be advantageous. You will need excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with project management software, Microsoft Office and technical documentation is desirable. A proactive approach, willingness to learn and confidence working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders are essential. The ability to travel to project sites when required, along with a valid driving licence, may also be necessary.
