Associate, M&A | Renewable Energy IPP

A leading energy transition platform backed by a major global investment firm is seeking an Associate, Business Development to support the underwriting, acquisition, and execution of utility-scale renewable energy, storage, and digital infrastructure projects across the U.S. This role will work cross-functionally with teams spanning asset management, finance, legal, and energy markets, supporting project commercialization efforts and strategic transactions. Responsibilities Support transaction execution for utility-scale solar, storage, and digital infrastructure acquisitions, dispositions, and partnerships Build and maintain detailed financial models for project underwriting and investment analysis Conduct due diligence and support the negotiation of transaction documentation Assist with investment committee and board approval materials Support analysis of major project contracts, including offtake, EPC, financing, and commercial agreements Perform sensitivity analyses and scenario modeling to evaluate project economics and risk Translate commercial contract terms into dynamic financial models Qualifications 2–5 years of professional experience, including exposure to utility-scale renewable energy or storage projects Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or another quantitative field Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, including project finance structures Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment Willingness to travel up to 25% Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship Preferred Background Experience with: Renewable energy project finance Solar and storage development M&A or strategic transactions Infrastructure or energy investing Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation package including: Performance bonus eligibility 401(k) contribution Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Flexible work arrangementsUnlimited PTO Professional development opportunities Location Hybrid role based in the Washington, D.C. area. #J-18808-Ljbffr Green Recruitment Company
