OPENING FOR ACUTE CARE PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

Location: Plano, Texas

Our organization is excited to present a full-time opportunity for a Physician Assistant in the role of Hospitalist in Plano, TX . This position allows you to advance your career by collaborating with a dedicated team of hospitalists to assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse patient population.

• Support Hospitalists with inpatient assessments, including history and physicals, as well as follow-up visits.

• Initiate suitable treatments and diagnostic tests for various medical conditions.

• Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations for all new admissions.

• Round on rehabilitation patients, including those in long-term acute care.

• Utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) system for documentation.

• Engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

• Willingness to work night shifts, specifically from 4 PM to 4 AM, on a 7-on, 7-off schedule.

• Strong skills in active listening, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, and decision-making.

• Current Texas licensure with experience in Acute Care.

• ACLS certification is required.

• 1 to 2 years of experience as a PA in ICU/CVICU is highly preferred.
