NIGHTTIME HOSPITALIST

OPENING FOR ACUTE CARE NURSE PRACTITIONER

Location: Plano, Texas

Our organization is excited to present a full-time opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist in the vibrant area of southwest Plano, TX . This role allows you to advance your career by collaborating with a dedicated team of hospitalists to assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse patient population.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Support hospitalists with inpatient assessments, including history and physicals, as well as follow-up visits.

  • Initiate suitable treatments and diagnostic tests for various medical conditions.

  • Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations for all new admissions.

  • Provide care for rehabilitation patients, including those in long-term acute care.

  • Utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) system for documentation.

  • Engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Willingness to work night shifts, specifically from 4 PM to 4 AM, on a 7 ON, 7 OFF schedule.

  • Strong skills in active listening, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgment, and decision-making.

  • Must hold an active Texas license as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

  • Current ACLS certification is required.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse in ICU/CVICU is mandatory.
