Job Description As an Engineering Project Manager, you will manage multiple projects of small multi‑disciplinary engineering teams in the design, development, and production of cutting‑edge custom products. You will hold ultimate technical decision‑making control and be the primary project point‑of‑contact to internal and external customers. Responsibilities Project Manager for multiple projects valued in the $500k to $5M range Coordinate a mix of engineering development and small‑scale production activities in custom products Point‑of‑contact for customers and leader of day‑to‑day activities of small (1‑10 person), multidisciplinary project teams Take projects through the entire life cycle from conception and proposal through design and production utilizing existing process methodologies Coordinate with internal and external groups to meet cost, schedule, and technical goals while managing risk and motivating the team Contribute to organizational growth via interaction with senior management, peers, and subordinates Manage and complete performance reviews for project team members Participate in department growth and process improvement activities Maintain ultimate technical decision‑making control during development of cutting‑edge products Lead project teams via daily interactions, weekly meetings, and monthly customer reviews Additional Qualified Skills Strong technical background in wireless communication technologies Experience managing people or leading a project High‑level knowledge of design principles for both hardware and software engineering Ability to analyze and evaluate technical trade‑offs while considering impacts to cost and schedule Strong leadership, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Experience in project management Occasional domestic travel required Basic Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher 7+ years of engineering experience U.S. citizen with ability to obtain necessary security clearance required by government contracts Target Base Salary Range $98,100 – $156,200 USD Benefits Incentive Bonus Plans Medical, Dental, Vision benefits 401(k) with Company Match 10 Paid Holidays Generous Paid Time Off Packages Employee Stock Purchase Plan Paid Parental & Family Leave EEO Statement Motorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
