About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum 3 years in a similar facility License: Valid state license required Certifications: CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA) Must-Have: - Experience with decontamination of surgical instruments - Knowledge of sterilization processes, including Sterrad and steam - High-Level Disinfection (HLD) experience - Familiarity with Censitrac tracking system - Medivator experience Description: We are seeking experienced candidates for the Sterile Processing Tech position. The role includes decontamination of all items, including drills, scopes, and surgical instruments Assembly of all instruments across various service lines is required Experience with sterilization processes such as Sterrad and steam is essential Familiarity with High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and scope experience is expected The candidate will assist with sterile storage and act as a liaison in the operating room Knowledge of the Censitrac tracking system and Medivator processes is required Candidates must have worked in a busy facility similar to the one being staffed The position may require weekend shifts and occasional holidays The traveler must successfully complete required fingerprinting processes in a timely manner Two professional references are necessary, including one from a leader or manager Prior experience in trauma facilities is preferred Candidates who have previously worked in similar roles are encouraged to apply Only candidates who reside outside a specified radius are eligible This position involves ensuring the safe reuse of medical supplies and instrumentation The role requires collaboration with various departments for effective service delivery Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the positions are filled
