This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Provider Relations Account Manager based in the United States.
This is a mission-critical provider relations role supporting a federal healthcare program serving 9/11 responders and survivors.
You will act as the primary operational liaison between the program’s third-party administrator and its Clinical Centers of Excellence (CCEs).
The role combines executive-level relationship management, provider network operations, cross-functional coordination, and continuous process improvement.
You will serve as a subject matter expert on CCE workflows, operational requirements, and provider needs across all eight centers.
Working closely with Benefits Administration, Member Services, Claims, Provider Network Management, and Operations, you will help ensure effective service delivery and timely resolution of complex issues.
You will also lead business reviews, support data and reporting initiatives, manage escalations, and contribute to improvements that enhance the experience of program members.
This remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced healthcare professional with deep CCE knowledge, strong relationship-building skills, and a genuine commitment to a mission-driven environment.
Accountabilities
Serve as the central point of contact for all eight Clinical Centers of Excellence, ensuring clear communication, effective coordination, timely issue resolution, and strong alignment with program objectives.
Build and maintain trusted, executive-level relationships with CCE leadership, fostering transparency, collaboration, and long-term partnership success.
Serve as the internal subject matter expert on CCE-specific workflows, including case management models, member coordination processes, operational requirements, and interactions with the provider network.
Coordinate CCE-related activities across Benefits Administration, Member Services, Claims, Provider Network Management, and Operations leadership.
Translate complex provider and program needs into actionable internal plans and ensure appropriate teams remain accountable for execution.
Support implementation of operational initiatives, service enhancements, and process improvements affecting CCEs and provider engagement.
Establish and reinforce a culture of collaboration, accountability, customer service excellence, and continuous improvement across provider relations activities.
Facilitate recurring business reviews with CCEs covering performance metrics, operational priorities, quality initiatives, compliance requirements, and strategic objectives.
Provide leadership with CCE-focused insights that inform program operations, member experience improvements, and provider network strategies.
Support delivery of CCE-related data, reporting, tools, and resources while ensuring alignment with applicable federal healthcare program standards and requirements.
Manage escalations and coordinate cross-functional responses to member-impacting issues, ensuring appropriate follow-through and timely resolution.
Maintain a strong understanding of the program mission and ensure provider engagement activities consistently support the needs of 9/11 responders and survivors.
Supervise and manage a minimum of two staff members, providing direction, support, and accountability.
Travel occasionally, generally less than 10%, for meetings with CCEs, government stakeholders, or internal leadership.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Required hands-on knowledge of all eight Clinical Centers of Excellence , including their organizational structures, workflows, and operational practices.
Direct experience supporting or collaborating with federal healthcare programs, with familiarity with CDC program standards and compliance expectations.
Proven experience managing executive-level provider relationships within large academic medical centers, integrated health systems, or comparable healthcare organizations.
Strong provider network management, healthcare operations, care coordination, or case management experience.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex healthcare program requirements into practical internal action plans and coordinated execution.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship management, and diplomacy skills, including confidence working with senior healthcare and provider leadership.
Strong problem-solving and escalation-management capabilities, with the ability to drive resolution across multiple teams.
Experience leading operational improvement initiatives in complex, multi-stakeholder healthcare environments is preferred.
Prior experience supporting the relevant federal healthcare program and its Clinical Centers of Excellence is strongly preferred.
Experience working with the program before its current third-party administrator contract transition is highly desirable.
Familiarity with healthcare data reporting workflows and compliance processes within federal health programs is advantageous.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to balance strategic priorities with detailed operational requirements.
Mission-driven mindset and genuine commitment to supporting 9/11 responders and survivors.
Sound judgment, integrity, transparency, and a service-oriented approach.
Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment while maintaining strong relationships across geographically distributed teams.
U.S. citizenship is not required; no security clearance is required, although a Moderate Background Investigation (MBI/T2) is required.
Benefits
Salary range: $107,744–$125,350, with final compensation determined based on experience, geographic location, and applicable contractual requirements.
Full-time, 40-hour work week.
Fully remote work within the United States.
Less than 10% travel expected.
Multiple medical plan options, including plans with Health Savings Accounts.
Dental and vision insurance options.
401(k) plan with company matching and pre- and post-tax contribution options.
Flexible work arrangements where applicable.
Paid vacation, sick, and personal leave.
10 paid holidays per year.
Paid parental leave.
Up to 160 hours of paid family leave during a rolling 12-month period for eligible employees.
Paid military, bereavement, and jury duty leave.
Short- and long-term disability benefits.
Life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
Personal accident and critical illness insurance options.
Business travel and accident insurance.
Comprehensive benefits designed to support employee health, financial security, and work-life balance.
Opportunity to contribute to a meaningful healthcare mission supporting 9/11 responders and survivors.
