Itinerant Audiologist (Starting in the 2026-2027 School Year)

Benefits Additional $1000.00 per month towards Medical, Dental or Vision. 27 assigned non‑duty days, 13 sick days and 13 holidays a year. Job Summary The Audiologist shall report directly to the Executive Director of Special Education Innovation and assume responsibility for services designed to address the unique needs of children identified as needing audiological services across school districts in Alameda County. The Audiologist provides audiological services to students with exceptional needs in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The Audiologist observes, consults with, and assists educational staff members as they adapt classroom instructional strategies to meet the students’ educational needs. The Audiologist also provides direct instruction, supervises the work of specially trained aides, assesses, and serves as a liaison between the school and various community agencies and professionals that provide services to students and their families. Requirements / Qualifications Valid CTC Clear Credential (required) Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Audiology or a related field; completion of a CTC-approved program (required) Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) or equivalent doctoral-level preparation (required for board licensure) Passage of a national audiology examination (required) Completion of required supervised clinical experience, including externship (required) Valid Audiologist license issued by the Speech‑Language Pathology and Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board (required) Application Requirements Applicants must submit a cover letter addressing specific competencies for the position, a resume with detailed employment background and education, and complete the EDJOIN application form.
