Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Sep 14, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring trauma experience and a compact or Oklahoma RN license Details Adult Emergency Department in a hospital setting Trauma patient population Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours) Trauma and travel required Requirements Active RN license issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact (eNLC) license Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association Minimum of one year of RN experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred NIHSS certification required Additional Information Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of ED patients across the acuity spectrum Documents patient responses to interventions and treatments, and notes changes in physician orders Assists physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments Administers medications and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products Communicates care plans and hospital procedures to patients and families Delegates tasks to support staff as needed Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed once booked Returning travelers may extend a contract only once, up to a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying American Traveler Job ID P-750919.
