Details Adult Emergency Department setting within a hospital Trauma and travel required within the department Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week) Cares for a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex Requirements Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association Minimum of one year of RN experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred Strong knowledge of nursing theories, practices, and techniques Effective communication skills and ability to work well with other staff Ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors Additional Information Provides direct nursing care to an assigned group of ED patients Assists physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products Documents patient responses and communicates changes in care plans to families Delegates tasks to support staff as needed Facility maintains strict compliance deadlines; onboarding documents must be completed promptly Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation is required before reapplying after reaching this limit American Traveler Job ID P-750923.
