Team Leader (Recovery Services)

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm Office Location: 1400 W Greenleaf Ave., Chicago, IL 60626 Salary Range: $64,000 - $68,000 The Team Leader will serve as the senior clinician on the Recovery Services (RS) team and will have overall responsibility for the direct supervision of employees on their team. They will oversee the coordination and quality of services for clients on their team, develop a cohesive team by hiring and training dynamic clinicians, and provide coaching and mentoring to team members. The Team Leader will routinely interface with other Team Leaders, Managers, the Executive Team and external partners to enhance communication and cooperation across programs/departments and community partners to improve the quality and comprehensiveness of services provided. They will ensure the team delivers client‑centered, strengths‑based, and trauma‑informed services to clients with severe mental illness and co‑occurring substance abuse/addiction using a harm reduction approach. Responsibilities Complete weekly supervision with employees to provide feedback and follow‑up on employee duties and responsibilities Assess the team’s morale and work toward maintaining a positive employee and team culture Model a client‑centered, recovery‑oriented approach to services that includes evidence‑based practices, e.g., trauma‑informed care, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction techniques Coordinate care with interdisciplinary staff and family members to ensure continuity of care for clients Recognize and act on opportunities to move clients to appropriate levels of care; provide referrals to additional services as indicated Track capacity for the team to ensure staff‑to‑client ratios are at appropriate levels Assess client’s personal, medical, emotional, social, and environmental situation through home, community, and office visits Assist clients in identifying signs and symptoms of de‑compensation and need for hospitalization; collaborate with clients to identify coping skills to manage symptoms and stressors Support team members with crisis interventions such as petitioning and wellness checks Support team members in teaching clients independent living skills, applying for entitlements, attending important appointments, and addressing housing, substance use, budgeting, medical, social support, and medication issues Model effective communication within the team for a multi‑disciplinary approach to client care Assist the team with scheduling to ensure all clients that need to be seen are on the schedule and help with cases as needed Run regularly scheduled team meetings and convey information/changes from management to the team Assist with hiring, onboarding new employees, and ongoing training to provide quality services to clients Monitor employees’ direct service hours, ensuring direct reports and the team meet service targets Monitor client charts and staff time management to ensure all documentation is complete and on time (IM‑CANs, notes, etc.) Ensure staff comply with annual trainings through Brainier Trainings Provide services to clients in the community when needed Be familiar with authorization processes for level of care and respond promptly to insurance issues Work with the Financial Services Department to finalize client rental payments, submit client budgets and BMFs, including making adjustments as needed Monitor team expenditures of client assistance and client loan funds Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned Qualifications Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a closely related field Minimum two years of experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses Valid Illinois driver’s license with daily access to a well‑maintained vehicle and $100,000/$300,000 liability insurance Supervisory or leadership experience highly preferred Benefits FREE Virtual Primary Care, Urgent Care, and Mental Health Counseling for ALL Employees PAID Maternity/Paternity leave Medical Insurance (BCBS of IL) Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Long‑Term & Short‑Term Disability Pet Insurance FSA (Health, Dependent Care, Transit) Telemedicine EAP 403(b) Retirement Plan with Employer Match #J-18808-Ljbffr Trilogy
