Please consider applying anyway.Essential Responsibilities:Assist in the collection of all required documents for grant proposals when necessary.Ride along with local police departments, when appropriate, to co-respond to individuals in the community who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis.Collaborate with local police departments, BH Link, and other community agencies, to complete risk assessments and safety plans for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis in the community.Coordinate referrals to longer term service providers and provide social support resource information to community members in crisis.Complete emergency certifications when necessary.Provide documentation of services consistent with Thrive, State, and Federal regulations.Provide crisis intervention focused training to local police departments as needed.Carry and enliven a positive Thrive image consistent with the Thrive’s Guiding Principles and professional code of ethics.Education, Experience and Competencies:Master’s degree in mental health counseling, clinical psychology, social work or other related field required.Licensure preferred.Minimum of one-year experience in the human service field working with adults, children, adolescents, and families to provide assessment, triage, and crisis intervention for mental health and substance abuse, including certification for hospitalization.Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) certification requiredWorking knowledge of community resources and systems of care preferredCertifications, Licenses Requirements:Valid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards required, or the ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
