May rotate shifts and areas as staffing and census require. What the Facility Wants (Requirements & Expectations) Experience & Qualifications Experience Required: 4 years of experience in obstetrics care preferred. License & Certifications: Active Colorado RN license and current CPR certification required. Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (NRP) and ACLS required within one year of employment. Clinical & Unit Overview Role Focus: Providing direct patient care to women in labor, through delivery, postpartum, and providing direct care to newborns (New Beginnings Birth Center). Responsibilities: Performing assessments, monitoring the process of labor, preparing for C-sections and inductions, administering IV medications, newborn care, patient education, and coordinating patient transfers. Special Demands: On-call required. Physical demands include long periods of standing, walking, and heavy lifting.
