Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery provides specialized nursing care to postpartum patients in a high-risk obstetric environment. This role involves patient assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care. The nurse will support culturally diverse populations, assist in cesarean sections, and adapt to floating assignments as needed. A minimum of one year of nursing experience and a valid California RN license are required. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in California.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience, preferably in obstetrics or postpartum care.
• Ability to care for high-risk obstetric patients and culturally diverse populations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.

• Experience circulating in cesarean sections.
• Previous experience working in labor and delivery or postpartum units.

• Weekend work is required to meet staffing needs.
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role.
• Floating to other units is expected as needed, with travelers being the first to float within their scope.
• Pending nursing licenses are not accepted; active full licensure required.
• Return to Office (RTO) restrictions allow no more than 7 days.
• Work involves caring for high-risk OB patients and a culturally diverse population.

• Start date: ASAP.
• Shifts will include weekends as part of staffing requirements.
• Typical patient load includes 20 visits per day with 11 rooms and 15 beds available.
