Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician

We are looking for *Senior Level Service Technicians* to join our growing team.

*Job Summary:*

NSWC Mechanical Service is hiring an experienced *Senior Level* *HVAC Service Technician* to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment across Southern California. Youll work independently and with a strong support team to deliver high-quality service and clear customer communication.

* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems
* Service and maintain RTUs, split systems, package units, exhaust/make-up air, and related controls
* Perform factory level equipment start-ups, preventative maintenance, and emergency service calls
* Complete service reports with accurate notes, readings, and recommendations
* Communicate findings and options clearly to customers and dispatch
* Follow safety procedures and company standards

*Required Skills/Abilities:*

* Insurable driving record
* Possess tools needed
* The ability to work independently.
* Managing overtime on service calls with patience and not rushing the job.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* The ability to diagnose and solve problems based on customers' non-technical descriptions.
* Strong working knowledge of equipment and tools used in the industry.

Qualifications

3+ years commercial HVAC service experience (preferred)

Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills

EPA 608 Certification (required)

Valid drivers license with clean driving record

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Comfortable using mobile apps for dispatch/work orders

*Preferred*

* Experience with VRF, chillers, boilers, or BAS controls
* NATE certification or manufacturer training
* Ability to mentor apprentices/junior techs

*Physical Demands*

* Must be able to lift to 25-50 pounds at times.
* Ability to sit for long periods, stand, walk, climb stairs
* Occasionally climb a ladder, squat and kneel, twist and bend, and work above head and below waist

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 50 per week
