Overview Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Ukiah, California. This travel assignment starts 08/24/2026 and runs for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 36 hours per week and a day shift consisting of 12-hour shifts (approximately 6:00 am–6:30 pm) in a 50‑bed short‑term acute care facility with Level II NICU and postpartum services. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,532–$2,632 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts (approximately 6:00 am–6:30 pm) Start date: 08/24/2026 Setting: Short‑term acute care facility with Level II NICU and postpartum services Extension opportunities: Possible depending on assignment needs Responsibilities Deliver direct nursing care for labor, delivery, and postpartum patients using the nursing process from admission through discharge Monitor fetal status and maternal vitals; assist with labor progression; administer medications per protocol; support intrapartum and neonatal care as needed Coordinate care with obstetric, neonatal, anesthesia, and ancillary teams; supervise and delegate tasks to the nursing team as assigned Provide patient and family education, participate in discharge planning, and support newborn care and lactation goals Maintain patient safety, infection control, and documentation accuracy; ensure smooth handoffs and continuity of care; respond to obstetric and neonatal emergencies as needed Requirements Active RN license in California (or state of practice) Minimum 2 years of recent experience in labor and delivery or NICU settings BLS required; NRP required ACLS required BSN preferred Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification required Day shift capability; ability to work in a Level II NICU environment and manage postpartum and newborn care Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours 13-week assignment with potential extension Travel assignment with support through the agency Credentialing and compliance assistance About Healthforce Healthforce is a nationwide travel healthcare staffing agency connecting travel nurses and allied health professionals with high-quality contract assignments across the United States.
