Assistant Director of Marketing

Summary: Responsible for the operational direction and administration of activities within the assigned departments and/or outlets within the Marketing division. Assist the divisional executive with the development and execution of the division's strategic plans.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Hire, train, develop, measure performance, and discipline of assigned leadership staff.
• Oversee the execution of the division's operational plans in the assigned areas.
• Monitor and control labor costs by ensuring adequate coverage based on business demands.
• Ensure work performance standards, and team member development programs maximize the individual growth and development of staff.
• Assists with establishing and maintaining a consistent brand image throughout promotional materials, advertising, events, etc.
• Assists with providing creative direction to marketing team in development of materials and promotions.
• Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Three (3) years of progressive experience marketing and promoting in the Casino/Gaming industry, of which one (1) year must have been in a supervisory capacity.
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience analyzing print and broadcast media products.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, be familiar with player tracking systems, CMP preferred, and the operation of standard office equipment.
• Possess a personable and professional demeanor along with organizational ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
• Verify right to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally bend, squat, and crouch.
• Occasionally required to use hands for firm manipulation and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Handle high levels of stress including deadlines, vendor discrepancies, employee and guest conflict and resolution.

Work Environment Conditions:

• The work environment is characterized as an office setting, where computers and standard office equipment will be supplied and used as part of the job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The immediate work environment is smoke free; however a smoking environment does exist in the building. Work environments change with the development of any and all special events. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which includes holidays, and weekends.
