Endoscopy Tech PRN - Deer Valley

Position Information Primary City/State: Deer Valley Medical Center Category: Imaging Shift: Day Department: Endoscopy Minimum: 2 years experience in endoscopy required. Responsibilities Assist physicians and registered nurses during procedures. Perform technical functions related to gastrointestinal (G.I.) and pulmonary procedures. Prepare procedure rooms according to endoscopic or pulmonary procedure requirements. Perform safety checks to verify proper equipment function. Troubleshoot issues related to endoscopes and devices. Clean, disinfect, and calibrate scopes or other endoscopic instruments. Collect specimens from patients. Place monitoring devices—such as blood pressure cuffs, pulse oximeter sensors, nasal cannulas, surgical cautery pads, and cardiac monitoring electrodes—on patients to monitor vital signs. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of SGNA Associates Program preferred. Experience 1 year G.I. experience preferred. 6 months direct patient care or endoscopy experience preferred. Licenses & Certifications Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
