Job Description
Title
Pharmacist - Pediatric

Schedule
- Night shift: 2000-0630
- 7 days on / 7 days off
- Transition to day shift in July/August

Requirements
- TX pharmacist license
- PharmD/RPh
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience
- Pediatric experience (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents)
- Experience with inpatient/acute care, pediatric dosing, IV push/IVPB, TPN, sterile compounding, renal dosing, and pharmacokinetics
- Proficiency in using Epic EHR

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications for pediatric patients, ensuring accuracy in dosing and compounding.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide pharmaceutical care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient drug therapies for safety and effectiveness, adjusting as necessary in response to patient needs.
- Educate healthcare staff and patients on medication use, side effects, and interactions.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in pharmacy practice.

Compliance / Notes
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 listed holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE, New Year's Day).
- 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years.
- Facility does not accept Nursys or BG hits.
- Local radius rule: 50 miles.
- TX license required at submission.
