Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Position

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Villa Serena Healthcare Center. As an LVN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Available shifts: Part-Time AM (7:00AM to 3:00pm). Company: Villa Serena Healthcare Center Location: Long Beach, California Job Type: Part-Time

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to designated residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Administer medications as ordered by physician and document accordingly
• Perform assessments, develop, and implement individualized care plans for residents
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals
• Document resident care accurately and legibly using charting by exception
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the privacy of residents' medical records
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

Requirements:

• Minimum of high school degree or equivalent
• Long-term care experience preferably in a sub-acute setting
• Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse by the State of California
• Must be certified in CPR
• IV certification
• Ability to speak, read, and write English effectively
• Emotional maturity, reliability, tact, integrity, and good judgment
• Ability to interact effectively with team members, residents, families, and visitors
• Knowledge of accreditation and licensing standards

Working Conditions:

• Work primarily involves standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending, and lifting of residents on a regular basis
• Occasional loud outbursts by residents may be expected
• Ability to hear within normal range and express or exchange ideas frequently
• Ability to accept and carry out responsibilities on a regular basis under the guidance and direction of a nursing supervisor

Salary: $33 - $38 HOURLY
