Bilingual Assistant Community Manager

$23 per hour

Assistant Community Manager The Assistant Community Manager is responsible for overseeing, under the supervision of the Community Manager, the everyday operations and financial functions of the housing community. The role includes managing all phases of operations such as personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial administration, and risk management in the absence of the Community Manager. As an onsite leader, responsible for supervising all property and staff activities to ensure compliance with company policies, safety, fair housing guidelines, and liability concerns. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Financial Management Post all payments and income received from applicants, current residents, and non‑current residents accurately, timely, and efficiently. Process and reconcile daily account receivables. Monitor and follow up on bad debt, including preparation of late notices, contact with residents and guarantors, and filing evictions. Assist the property in meeting budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income. Post all charges to resident and non‑current resident accounts, including utility bill backs where applicable. Perform all end‑of‑month closing procedures and reporting. Maintain accurate and organized records; audit resident files to ensure accuracy. Walk units and post all move‑out charges, statements, and security deposit refunds. Personnel Management Regular/daily onsite attendance is required. Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop onsite staff using consistent techniques and company directives. Ensure staff effectiveness through ongoing training, coaching, counseling, and guidance in compliance with training benchmarks. Promote harmony and quality job performance of staff through support and effective leadership. Ensure staff compliance and consistency with company policies and procedures. Implement effective leasing practices to secure occupancy and maintain accurate reporting. Apply marketing strategies and systems outlined in the annual marketing plan. Address resident complaints, concerns, and requests to maintain satisfaction. Develop and implement resident retention programs such as resident functions, special promotions, and monthly newsletters. Show, lease, and move in prospective residents effectively. Administrative Management Provide excellent customer service and monitor service request turnaround and responsiveness of maintenance staff. Maintain property appearance and ensure repairs are noted and completed promptly (including regular inspections and tours). Assist in supervising all business functions related to operations. Plan for and utilize property resources, equipment, and supplies economically, including obtaining bids/pricing from vendors and managing service quality. Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years of experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic computer skills required; knowledge of onsite software functions. Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements. Bilingual candidates preferred. Physical Requirements Regular standing, sitting, and repeated wrist, hand, and finger movements; assessment of accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work. Frequent movement between work sites. Occasional ladder, stair, scaffolding, ramp, or step stool use; ability to move objects up to 25 lbs.; operation of machinery or power tools; motion in tight and confined spaces; working in various environmental conditions including extreme temperatures and precipitation; ability to work overtime, weekends, and night hours as required.
