Interventional Radiology Tech Associate

Job Summary As a specialized Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will work closely with interventional radiologists and skilled nurses in a fast‑paced environment to provide high‑quality imaging and patient care in complex vascular procedures. You will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, ensuring radiation safety, and maintaining a safe, compassionate environment for each patient. General Duties Demonstrate proficiency in x‑ray and angiography procedures in accordance with departmental policy. Select appropriate techniques and accurately label digital films. Apply knowledge of scrubbing, circulating, and hemodynamic monitoring techniques. Maintain radiation exposure at ALARA and use x‑ray equipment safely. Operate the Medrad injector and other radiology equipment. Ensure x‑ray badges remain current and perform scheduled testing of radiation equipment. Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy during procedures. Log patients, complete exam billing forms, and organize supplies. Coordinate work schedule and provide excellent customer service. Experience & Qualifications Experience or training as a Radiology Technologist, Cath‑Lab Technologist, Radiology Special Procedures Technologist, or Interventional Radiology Technologist. Licenses & Certifications State Radiologic Technologist license from the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board. Basic Life Support (Heart‑Saver & First Aid) from the American Heart Association. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association. Radiography Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Shift Days (United States of America).
