Enhance Lives Through Communication in the Heart of Massachusetts – Become a Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a career where your passion for communication can flourish while making impactful differences in the lives of others. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the dynamic city of Boston, your role goes beyond simply treating speech and swallowing disorders. It is about empowering individuals to express themselves, from the littlest learners babbling their first words to the spirited seniors confidently narrating their stories.
This position offers you the unique chance to work with diverse populations throughout all stages of life within a setting that harmonizes outpatient and occasional inpatient therapy. Whether your interests lie in nurturing the language milestones of children, addressing neurogenic communication challenges in adults, or providing cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation for the elderly, you will thrive in a flexible and fulfilling environment here.
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standard assessments and observational methods.
Design individualized treatment plans tailored to meet short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
Deliver professional, one-on-one speech therapy focused on enhancing communication skills, language development, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing functionality.
Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to implement unified care strategies.
Empower patients and families with education that supports therapeutic progress beyond clinical sessions.
Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless treatment progression.
Maintain accurate and timely records compliant with relevant state, federal, and organizational standards.
Stay informed about advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaborative learning opportunities.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Adept in utilizing evidence-based treatment methods across all age groups, with a comprehensive understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disabilities.
Exceptional interpersonal skills for engaging effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
Ability to modify therapy strategies to cater to various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical reasoning and adept problem-solving competencies.
Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and adhering to documentation regulations.
Competitive salary reflecting your experience and qualifications.
Flexible scheduling options to promote work-life balance along with a diverse caseload.
Possibilities to specialize in areas such as pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday remuneration.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance choices.
Reimbursement for continuing education and support for professional growth.
A collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere dedicated to high-quality care and lifelong learning.
A Career that Inspires — and Inspires Others
In this role, you will not only provide essential speech therapy services — you will weave yourself into a community-centric mission of restoring voices, amplifying communication, and creating cherished memories through the power of understanding and connection.
Experience a workplace where teamwork is the norm, where every clinician is valued as part of the family, and where every patient's journey is respected as a compelling story worth telling.
