Our organization, affiliated with the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine (MSU CHM) Flint Campus, is looking for a board-eligible or board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist to join our team as a full-time faculty member in the Hurley Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Training Program.

About Us

Located in Flint, Michigan, our medical center serves a diverse patient demographic and addresses various health disparities. We deliver around 3,000 babies annually and have a dedicated team of faculty physicians, private practitioners, advanced practice providers, and registered nurses in our Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Our facility includes a Level III NICU and a Center for Maternal Fetal Medicine, enabling us to handle high-risk pregnancies. We are recognized as a Level 3 facility by the Joint Commission Maternal Levels of Care Program. Opportunities for minimally invasive robotic surgeries are available using the da Vinci Xi surgical system. Our graduates are well-prepared for successful careers as specialists or subspecialists.

Position Overview

• The successful candidate will engage in various aspects of obstetric and gynecologic care, including roles as a laborist, clinic attending physician, gynecologic surgeon, floor-rounder, and consultant.

• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication abilities are essential for this role.

• Faculty members in this position may seek an academic appointment with MSU CHM, with rank based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical coverage and supervise residents 4-5 days a week.

• Assist with administrative responsibilities for the residency program as directed by the program director.

• Engage in departmental and institutional committees.

• Contribute to the formal education of residents and medical students.

• Participate in scholarly activities as outlined by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
