Experienced in serving clients with a local, national or international presence, and a number of diverse organizational structures, our professionals can help develop meaningful solutions for your business.Responsibilities:Manage multiple concurrent engagements within the Deals Accounting and Strategic Finance practice to provide technical accounting and financial or business advisory guidance to clientsDemonstrate intermediate to advanced knowledge of complex accounting conceptsProvide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the consulting work plan and client deliverablesCollaborate directly with firm specialists/subject matter experts on complex accounting mattersAssist in the preparation of technical memos and other client deliverablesManage Transaction Accounting engagements and the engagement teamsOversee engagement economics and manage appropriate resources for efficient engagement modelsSupport sell‑side readiness by identifying accounting gaps, improving and preparing transaction‑ready financial reporting, enhancing monthly and quarter-end close processes, and addressing complex accounting considerations in advance of exit processesPerform transaction‑related accounting analyses, including business combinations, carve‑outs, and resolution of complex accounting and reporting issues under applicable accounting standardsDesign and implement accounting policies, reporting structures, and finance and accounting processes including scalable monthly close frameworks and controls to support accurate financial reportingSupport day‑one and post‑close accounting and financial reporting readiness, including stabilization of the monthly close, accounting and finance functional integration, and coordination across stakeholdersAssist management with post‑close financial reporting obligations, purchase agreement requirements, and ongoing accounting and financial reporting integration activities including ongoing close optimization and reporting cadence alignmentAnticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they arise; identify performance improvement opportunitiesUnderstand RSM's service lines and work as a team in providing an integrated service deliveryDevelop others within the Transaction Accounting service line through mentoring, training and advising on career development or participating in other Firm initiativesUnderstand RSM's lines of businesses, availability of services and where applicable, discuss with client management of opportunities to make valuable introductions to others in the firmWork with the National Leader on "go to market" strategy, participating in proposals, pitch meetings, and developing marketing collateralDevelop a strategy to utilize relationships external to the firm with different types of Centers of Influence to effectuate business growthSubscribe to and actively read industry publications and share relevant information with clients as considered applicableEnsure professional development through ongoing educationWillingness to travel 25% or less of the year, depending on your clientsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting.9+ years of experience.Strong leadership and client management experience.Preferred QualificationsCPA or equivalent certification.Experience in leading project teams related to one or more of the following areas: accounting and finance optimization, audit readiness, complex accounting analysis and consultation, new accounting standard implementationAt RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people. We offer flexibility in your schedule, empowering you to balance life’s demands, while also maintaining your ability to serve clients. Learn more about our total rewards at .All applicants will receive consideration for employment as RSM does not tolerate discrimination and/or harassment based on race; color; creed; sincerely held religious beliefs, practices or observances; sex (including pregnancy or disabilities related to nursing); gender; sexual orientation; HIV Status; national origin; ancestry; familial or marital status; age; physical or mental disability; citizenship; political affiliation; medical condition (including family and medical leave); domestic violence victim status; past, current or prospective service in the US uniformed service; US Military/Veteran status; pre-disposing genetic characteristics or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state or local law.
