Partners with senior leadership to define and execute medium- and long-term strategies that strengthen data quality, governance, compliance, and operational effectiveness across the enterprise.Develops enterprise-level strategies and scalable solutions to address complex, cross-functional master data challenges. Serves as a key advisor to leadership, providing counsel for decision-making, operational priorities, and strategic planning in support of growth objectives across business groups and core enterprise functions, including Enterprise Supply Chain, Product Stewardship, IT, and Global Business Services.Leads global master data governance operations, including governance processes, policy management, and control frameworks across the MDM scope. Here, you will make an impact by:Leads global master data governance operations, including governance processes, policy management, and control frameworks across the MDM scope.Oversees SOX compliance requirements related to master data and ensures robust execution of data quality management processes to optimize accuracy, consistency, control, and business value.Plans, organizes, and directs all activities associated with enterprise master data governance, including policy development, standards management, stewardship alignment, quality oversight, compliance, and continuous improvement. Scope includes:Create and execute the enterprise governance strategy, governance principles, and operating plans for master data across customer, material, vendor, and emerging domains; scope spans all of 3M's data inventory as well as data inventories operating under a transition services agreement.Lead the global master data governance framework, ensuring effective policies, standards, controls, and decision rights are in placePartner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to align master data priorities with enterprise growth strategies and operational needsProvide strategic guidance and thought leadership on complex data governance, quality, risk, and process issuesOversee master data-related SOX compliance and control execution to ensure audit readiness and regulatory alignmentLead enterprise data quality efforts, including performance oversight of data quality operations and continuous improvement initiativesDrive cross-functional governance and stewardship engagement across business groups and enterprise functionsEstablish scalable processes and governance mechanisms and governance measurements to support transformation, standardization, and operational excellenceMonitor governance performance, identify risks and opportunities, and implement improvements to strengthen data integrity and business outcomesYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)Two (2) years combined experience in at least one master data domain (customer, material or vendor)Ten (10) combined years' experience in supply chain, business transformation, operations, data management, sales, marketing, and/or customer service in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Master’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or a related fieldKnowledge of, or experience with, 3M’s ERP deployment methodologyExperience in project management or process improvement, including ability to create, implement & govern processes, with focus on continuously improving and optimizing processes in a changing environmentWork location: Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.Travel: May include up to 25% travelRelocation: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
