Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities Work in a customer's home but may be exposed to extremes in temperature, humidity or wetness when in transportation. May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces May have exposure to dust, gas, fumes or chemicals On occasion, you may use special visual or auditory protective equipment Will occasionally climb stairs and work off elevated surfaces Frequently work with biohazards for Commercial Technicians only Ability to sit, walk and crawl occasionally Ability to stand, squat, kneel and dexterity to bend/twist neck and waist, frequently Ability to use hands repetitively and power/simple grasp constantly Ability for fine manipulation of hands as well as pushing, pulling and reaching above and below shoulder level constantly Physical ability to lift, pull and push products up to 50 pounds frequently Physical ability to lift, pull and push products that weigh more than 100+ pounds occasionally Ability to carry items up to 6 feet occasionall Qualifications 100% local daily travel required Must be able to work in the New York area Must be able to travel in (Manhattan – subway) 5 mile radius to assistant clients or able to drive (van) in Brooklyn 25 mile radius to assistant clients Ability to travel to New Jersey location for training for 2-3 weeks at a time Must be able to handle 4-6 service calls per day, Must have a valid driver's license High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Excellent customer service skills Flexible to work Monday-Friday and any 8 hours between 7AM-5PM Knowledge of appliance repair Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to apply concepts of basic math Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos in English Ability to multi-task Ability to work professionally with colleagues and be a team player Ability to manage difficult customer situations Must be self‑motivated, customer‑oriented person with excellent communication skills Must pass mandatory background checks which may include pre‑screening, illegal drug tests and credit checks Best Skills Process Excellence Collaboration Communication Emotional Intelligence Open‑Mindedness Critical Thinking Solution Orientation Entrepreneurship AI Proficiency Data Literacy Equal Opportunity Employer TP is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
