Heritage Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Supervisor to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team in Independence, MO . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN looking for a weekend nursing supervisor, RN supervisor, or nurse leadership position in a long-term care and rehabilitation setting.

The RN Weekend Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nursing care during weekend shifts, supporting nursing staff, ensuring resident needs are met, and maintaining compliance with facility policies, physician orders, and applicable state and federal regulations.

RN Weekend Supervisor Responsibilities

• Provide and oversee professional nursing care within the RN scope of practice.

• Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure quality resident care.

• Monitor residents and respond appropriately to changes in condition.

• Ensure nursing care is provided according to physician orders, nursing standards, and facility policies and procedures .

• Promote compliance with state and federal regulations and long-term care requirements.

• Follow and promote the facility's infection prevention and control policies and procedures.

• Participate in the facility's Quality Improvement (QAPI) program and help identify opportunities to improve resident care.

• Assist with appropriate placement and monitoring of residents in applicable care programs.

• Communicate resident updates and changes with nursing leadership and other departments.

• Coordinate communication regarding new admissions, discharges, room changes, leaves of absence, and changes in resident condition .

• Provide resident and family education regarding care, treatment, and health needs.

• Help ensure a safe, supportive, and positive environment for residents and staff.

• Serve as a nursing leader and resource for staff during weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri.

• One year of nursing management or supervisory experience preferred.

• Long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care experience preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and leadership skills.

• Ability to work independently and make appropriate nursing decisions.

• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality resident care.
