Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/13/2026 Duration: 26 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Operating Room RN – Perioperative Services Specialty: Operating Room / Perioperative RN Shift: Days, 4x10-hour shifts Contract Length: 13–26 weeks Shift Start: 6:30 AM or 6:50 AM Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide direct and indirect nursing care throughout the perioperative continuum. The OR RN will be responsible for planning, executing, directing, and evaluating patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The successful candidate will have strong OR experience, prior travel nursing experience, and familiarity with EPIC . Robotic surgery and scrub experience are highly desirable. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience . Previous travel nursing experience required . Current RN license required. Current BLS certification required . EPIC experience required. Strong perioperative nursing experience. Ability to function within the OR scope and department requirements. Robotic surgery experience preferred. Scrub nurse experience preferred. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients. Perform preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative assessments. Function as an OR nurse in accordance with department needs and clinical competency. Support safe surgical procedures through appropriate preparation, monitoring, and documentation. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary team members. Maintain patient safety and infection-control standards. Assist with surgical counts, specimen handling, equipment, and supplies as appropriate. Monitor patient condition and communicate changes promptly. Document perioperative care accurately in EPIC. Provide appropriate handoff and postoperative care coordination. Follow organizational policies, professional nursing standards, and regulatory requirements. Preferred OR Skills Robotic surgery experience. Scrub nurse experience. Circulating experience. Experience with a variety of surgical procedures. Strong knowledge of perioperative patient safety. EPIC proficiency.
