JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Obstetrics/Gynecology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Dover, OH • Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical Call • Coverage Period: 11/01/2026 – Ongoing • Shift Schedule: Mixture of daily onsite/clinic work - 8 hr shifts - 1 to 2 weeks per month • Call Schedule: 24-hour coverage, 7a – 7a - Evening and Weekend call • Call Type: Beeper • Call Ratio: Solo on Call PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults • Patient Volume/Census: 15–20 outpatient visits/day; 1–2 deliveries/day; approximately 50–60 deliveries/month • Admissions: Yes – Labor & Delivery and inpatient coverage • Rounding: Included – postpartum rounding • Phone Consults: No telemedicine; beeper coverage at night • Case Mix: 80% OB / 20% GYN; Labor & Delivery, spontaneous deliveries, scheduled C-sections, high-risk obstetric cases, GYN surgeries, laparoscopic and minimally invasive procedures, and ER gynecology FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: - 6 Labor & Delivery beds - 150 total facility beds • Trauma Level: TBD • EMR System: Epic • Specialty Backup Available: Another independent physician shares the unassigned ER call; additional provider may be called in to assist with surgeries • Support Staff Available: Nurses and midwives PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: TBD • Credentialing Timeline: TBD COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Manage Labor & Delivery, including high-risk obstetric cases • Perform C-sections • Manage spontaneous deliveries • Perform GYN surgeries, including laparoscopic and minimally invasive procedures • All OB/GYN procedures required • Circumcision experience is a plus • No VBACs • Deliveries are performed at 35 weeks in a Level 1 Nursery JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active Ohio medical license required - Ohio license preferred • Board: BC/BE in Obstetrics/Gynecology - Board Certification required after 5 years of practice • DEA: Active DEA required • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP required • Experience: No specific minimum years listed • Other Qualifications: Clean background required; Epic experience preferred; local candidates preferred; submit 2 professional references with names and contact information DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Round on postpartum patients • Manage spontaneous deliveries presenting to the hospital from the covered practice • Perform prescheduled C-sections • Provide Labor & Delivery coverage, including high-risk obstetric cases • Provide ER coverage when assigned to the unassigned ER call rotation • Provide ER gynecology call as assigned • Remain available for spontaneous labor patients from the covered practice • Perform GYN surgeries, including laparoscopic and minimally invasive procedures • Provide 24-hour inpatient coverage from 7a – 7a when scheduled • Provide nursing and midwife-supported care in the Labor & Delivery unit • Maintain documentation in Epic About Adelphi Locums Adelphi Locums, a brand of Adelphi Staffing, provides locum tenens staffing solutions for healthcare facilities across the U.S., connecting them with qualified physicians, advanced practitioners, and other medical professionals for temporary coverage needs. 1773870EXPPLATaa415a4b-8b21-40fc-a65c-70d2b25ca29a
