Director of Finance / Senior Financial Controller

Position Overview: At The Wildbirch Hotel, our Director of Finance/Senior Financial Controller is a high-level finance professional, part of the Executive Committee, responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and advising on financial strategy within an organization. He/She manages the finance team, implements financial controls, and works closely with other departments to ensure compliance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, board reports and various other financial reports. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to support management decisions. Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage the budget, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Create financial forecasts and analyze variances. Monitor performance against budget and provide regular updates. Accounting Operations: Oversee all accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Maintain internal controls and ensure the security of company assets. Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations. Team Leadership & Development: Supervise and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support. Evaluate performance and provide feedback. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Key Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA). Experience: Extensive experience in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis. Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
