About the Role

The Company is in need of an Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide executive-level financial leadership during a transitional period. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the organization's financial position, identifying priorities and risks, and strengthening financial operations. This role requires a strategic and hands-on approach, with the CFO expected to partner with the CEO/Executive Director and senior leadership on financial strategy, oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management, and ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards. The Interim CFO will also be tasked with preparing and presenting financial information to the Board, overseeing the annual audit, and providing trusted guidance throughout the transition. Applicants for the Interim CFO position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years' of progressive financial leadership experience, with a strong background in nonprofit accounting and finance. The role demands a candidate with significant experience in nonprofit financial statements, budgets, audits, grants, and Board reporting, as well as a proven track record in financial forecasting, cash-flow management, and internal controls. Advanced knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles is essential, and experience with Sage Intacct is required. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be adept at financial analysis, and have a history of working collaboratively with finance staff, providing leadership, direction, and mentorship.
