Payroll and Marketing Administrator

Are you organized, dependable and great with details? FirstOption Workforce Solutions places temporary-to-hire talent across Texas and we are looking for an Payroll and Marketing Administrator to join our internal team!
In this role, your accuracy and follow-through make sure people are paid correctly and on time, every week. You will use your payroll knowledge, Excel skills and creativity in a job with real variety and real impact.
What you'll do- Payroll: Use your payroll knowledge and attention to detail to run weekly payroll from start to finish: entering timecards, resolving missing hours, processing deductions and garnishments, and sending direct deposits on time.
- Billing: Apply your accounting skills to prepare accurate weekly client invoices with the correct PO numbers and approved timecards.
- New-hire compliance: Bring your knowledge of I-9, E-Verify and onboarding paperwork to audit each week's new hires and keep employee records accurate.
- Timekeeping: Stay organized while tracking daily attendance for key clients and sending weekly timecard approvals.
- Reporting: Use strong Excel skills to prepare monthly commission reports and keep tracking spreadsheets current.
- Marketing & client-focused media: Put your creativity and writing skills to work creating content that speaks to the businesses we serve as well as job seekers: client success stories, industry tips for hiring managers, blog articles, recruiting posts, and branded materials such as flyers and client welcome guides. Design in Canva, keep our Facebook and other social channels active and on-brand, and notice what connects with our audience.
- Office support: Use clear, friendly communication to answer employee pay questions and solve office system issues with vendors.
- 2+ years of administrative experience (accounting or marketing a big plus)
- Strong Excel skills and comfort learning new software
- A sharp eye for detail and a record of meeting deadlines
- Discretion with confidential pay and personal information
- Social media, content writing or design experience (Canva, Facebook), with a sense for what appeals to business clients
