Overview

Apex Systems is seeking Senior Technical Leads to support a statewide Next Generation 9-1-1 telecommunications modernization initiative. These resources will provide technical leadership, deployment oversight, telecommunications expertise, and stakeholder coordination across multiple organizations and service providers.


Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related discipline.
• Minimum eight (8) years of experience aligning technology solutions with business objectives.
• Minimum five (5) years serving in a technical leadership role.
• Experience leading enterprise technology implementations.
• Experience gathering requirements, identifying risks, and developing technical recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• NG911 experience.
• Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) experience.
• Telecommunications carrier migration experience.
• VoIP, SIP, IP Telephony, and Network Infrastructure expertise.
• Emergency communications systems experience.
• State or local government experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning and migration activities.
• Coordinate telecommunications deployment efforts.
• Support testing, validation, and operational readiness.
• Identify technical risks and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with vendors, agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Participate in planning sessions, technical reviews, and status meetings.
• Develop recommendations to improve deployment efficiency.
