Job Description:

McLaren Bay Region is seeking Gastroenterologists in Bay City, Michigan, for 24-hour call coverage. This ongoing need involves coverage through 2026 with the following schedule:

• Monday 7am – Friday 7pm call
• No weekend call

Coverage periods:

• 3/1/2026 – 3/30/2026: Monday-Thursday 7am-7am; Friday 7am-7pm
• 4/3/2026 – 7/27/2026: Monday-Thursday 7am-7am; Friday 7am-7pm
• 9/28/2026 – 12/28/2026: Monday-Thursday 7am-7am; Friday 7am-7pm
• 1/1/2027 onward: schedule similar with ongoing needs

Additional details:

• ERCP is required
• Hospitalist support available
• In-network colorectal surgeons
• GI clinic located less than half a mile from hospital
• Small town atmosphere with big city amenities and waterfront

Note:

• Travel expenses including car, fuel, mileage, and hotel are capped at $150 (including taxes). Rental cars must be refueled before return.
• Do NOT reimburse med staff fees.
• No lodging bookings through third-party websites such as Expedia or Kayak.
• McLaren is tax exempt and will not reimburse taxes on lodging.
• Expenses covered by the client will adhere to the limits outlined in the Travel & Expense policy between McLaren Health Care and AHSA.

Rates to Submit:

• Malpractice insurance rates must be included in the hourly rate.
• Orientation rate: half the hourly rate for training, online modules, etc.
• On-call (daily): 24-hour rate, including 8 hours gratis in-house and night call Monday-Thursday.
• Daily shifts on Fridays (7am-7pm): include 4 hours of patient contact.
• Call-back rate: applicable after gratis hours.
• Holiday rates applicable for all scheduled holidays.
• Conversion fee if applicable.
