Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Alaska

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will possess a permanent Alaska nursing license and have experience in both labor and delivery settings.

Responsibilities:

Perform assessments and triage pregnant patients.
Provide care for labor and delivery, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
Administer medications and IV infusions as prescribed.
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal well-being using GE fetal monitors.
Assist with post-delivery care and maternal/newborn education.
Participate in on-call and weekend shifts as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Active Alaska RN license.
Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
OR circulator experience required.
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or NCC-EFM certification.
Current NRP, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
