SBA Relationship ManagerThe SBA Relationship Manager combines proactive business development with disciplined credit risk management and is dedicated to identifying, structuring, and executing SBA lending solutions for potential and existing customers.Essential Job FunctionsOriginate SBA 7(a) loans with annual volume targets in the $10M–15M+ rangeBuild and maintain a pipeline through COI relationships, broker networks, and direct small business outreachStructure credit requests in compliance with SBA SOP and program eligibility requirementsManage borrower relationships from initial contact through closing and ongoing portfolio monitoringPartner with underwriters and closers to drive efficient loan executionActively monitor portfolio performance and maintain proactive borrower relationshipsEnsure all originations meet SBA program requirements and internal credit standardsSupport special assets and workout situations as needed in collaboration with credit administrationJob RequirementsBachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field or equivalent in education and experiencePrior SBA 7(a) origination experienceDemonstrated ability to build and manage a referral pipelineKnowledge/Skills RequiredIntermediate relationship building skillsIntermediate customer service skillsIntermediate negotiation skillsIntermediate knowledge of SBA program mechanics, loan structuring, and SOP complianceIntermediate understanding of secondary market loan sales and guarantee premium executionIntermediate verbal and written communication skillsIntermediate proficiency with loan origination systemsIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft OfficePhysical and Mental QualificationsStanding, walking, bending and stooping requiredMust be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computerMust be able to occasionally move or lift up to 10 poundsMay be asked to work supplemental hours periodicallyLimited travel required occasionally during and after business hoursSalary Pay Range: $59,923.52 - $104,250.50 annuallyEligible associates may participate in Carter Bank's benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, other voluntary benefits, 401(k), paid time off, and paid holidays.
