Transportation Engineering Technician II (61034578) *RE-ADVERTISEMENT*

Overview Performs independent inspection in all fields and produces the required reports relating to those inspections in a timely manner. Maintains inspection and testing equipment, completes daily timesheets and monthly mileage reports. Assists Project Managers in the generation of monthly estimates in SiteManager and closeout activities, such as final quantities and As‑Built Drawings. Performs construction verification surveys and operates survey equipment during these surveys. Responsible for pre‑construction layout activities and data collection. Ensures the collection of and/or collects samples and certifications relating to construction inspection activities. Assists with training other inspectors. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications A high school diploma and one (1) year of experience related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence. Physical Requirements The essential functions involve frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Walking for extended periods, traversing rough terrain, working in close proximity to motoring traffic, and in natural environmental hazards. May require occasional exposure to noise and working outside of normal work schedules and weekends.
