Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current SLP license in Mississippi, or eligibility to obtain
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY SLPs are welcome to apply
- Prior experience in school-based settings is highly valued
- Familiarity with IEP development and progress reporting
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with educators, students, and families
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify student speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Provide direct intervention individually or in small groups
- Track student progress and maintain detailed documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, consultations, and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Offer support and guidance to teachers and parents, enhancing student success
- Educate school staff about speech and language disorders as needed
