The supportive atmosphere is designed to help professionals thrive in their roles, with potentially limited administrative burdens, allowing you to focus primarily on patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect Patient Care: Assess, evaluate, and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients. You will conduct comprehensive screenings and physical evaluations to establish baselines and measure progress.Therapeutic Interventions: Administer hands-on techniques including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and trigger point therapy aimed at restoring functionality and alleviating pain.Family Engagement: Maintain open and constructive communication with patients and their families regarding treatment progress, addressing concerns, and providing education about home programming and discharge planning.Documentation: Ensure precise and compliant record-keeping of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes to facilitate continuity of care and consult with physicians effectively.Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with office staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care, facilitating referrals to specialists and additional resources as needed.Patient Population / Client FocusThis role centers primarily on pediatric patients, ranging from infants to young adults, who require physical therapy due to congenital disabilities, developmental delays, post-surgical rehabilitation, or sports-related injuries. You will be an advocate for their growth, focusing on helping each child reach their maximum potential through tailored intervention strategies.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; however, a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy is highly preferred.Active license to practice Physical Therapy in Florida.A solid foundation in anatomy and physiology, particularly as it relates to pediatric patients.Experience in clinical settings with a preference for one or more years of experience in an acute care environment.Preferred ExperienceDemonstrated proficiency in working with children and an understanding of developmental milestones.Familiarity with hospital medicine practices and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced rehabilitation setting.Experience with trigger point therapy techniques and play therapy modalities would be a valuable asset.Compensation and BenefitsThis full-time position offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
