Location: Sanford, FL Position Type: Permanent Shift: Day Shift | 5 Days/Week (Rotating Weekends)
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist (PT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute care setting. This role involves evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to improve patient outcomes across the continuum of care.
Schedule Details
Day shift (8-hour shifts; start time between 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM)
Rotating weekends:
Initially 4 weekends/month, gradually decreasing to 2/month
Weekdays off provided when working weekends
Key Responsibilities
Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions aligned with physician orders
Assess functional status and adjust care plans as needed
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home care
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Manage caseload, prioritize treatments, and coordinate care transitions
Qualifications
Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT)
Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (or higher)
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
