Maintenance Technician - ManufacturingNSC Staffing has an immediate direct hire opportunity for a Maintenance Technician - Milwaukee, WIMonday-Friday 7am-3:30 pm Pay range: $25-35/hour based on experienceJob Title: Maintenance TechnicianDepartment: Maintenance / ManufacturingReports To: Maintenance Manager or Production ManagerGeneral Summary:The Maintenance Technician is recognized as skilled and knowledgeable in mechanical systems and is sought out to support troubleshooting, development of process/system improvements, preventive and predictive maintenance development and contractor performance monitoring, when necessary, for new equipment or process systems.Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities:Performs preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to include disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly.Cleans, lubricates, and adjusts parts, equipment, and machinery.Examines parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.Observes and tests the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.Operates newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.Studies blueprints, schematics, and manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.Applies a wide variety of methods, procedures & techniques to layout, install, align, repair, overhaul, & maintain various types of machines encompassing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.Ensures the safety needs are given a top priority in operations support and work execution. Some examples are Arc Flash/Shock Hazard safety, confined space entry, LOTO, hazardous materials, hand tool safe use, etc.Coordinates and works with contractors.Performs repairs and adjustments on equipmentCompetencies:Displays effective interpersonal skills sufficient to build positive, productive, and effective professional working relationships with customers and associatesAbility to adapt in a fast-paced environmentProblem-solving and analytical skills to interpret performance and operations issuesComputer and Microsoft Office knowledgeQualifications:High School Diploma or GED2+ years in manufacturing maintenanceWorking knowledge of electrical systemsWorking knowledge of plumbingWorking knowledge of mechanicsExperience/knowledge of printed circuit boards and printed circuit board manufacturing a plusPrevious vocational certificate/training preferredWorking knowledge of conveyorized equipment, pumps, gear-drive motors, heaters/blowers preferred
