Grounds Keeper

Responsible for work associated with grounds keeper work in a wide variety of maintenance and construction tasks, use of motorized equipment and any other assigned duties.

Maintain park property including litter pick up.

Maintain equipment and vehicles to include preventative maintenance and repairs.

Operate equipment such as lawnmowers, weed eaters, tractors, utility vehicles, etc.

Conduct inspections and report facility and ground concerns or issues to the District Supervisor.

Carry out a wide range of park construction and repair projects and conduct minor plumbing and electrical repairs.

Assist in the maintenance and repair of park facilities and playground equipment.

Perform custodial duties as required.

Provide support to recreation programs and special events as assigned including nights and weekends.

Performs other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must hold a valid driver's license.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Ability to work in outside environment conditions.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The associate is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid weather conditions. The employee is exposed to members of the public on a regular basis. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
