Open Date 6/17/2026 Position: Registered Dental Hygienist PDFO is hiring Dental Hygienists! PDFO is a friendly, fast‑paced pediatric dental practice looking for Dental Hygienists who LOVE working with children and families. If you’re compassionate, reliable, and confident in providing excellent dental care for kids, we’d love to meet you! We offer competitive starting salaries commensurate with skills and experience, starting at $45+/hr for new graduates and $50+/hr for those with experience. What You’ll Do Provide high‑quality dental hygiene care to infants, children, and adolescents Educate children and parents on oral health, hygiene techniques, and preventive care Perform cleanings and fluoride treatments Take dental radiographs Help create a calm, positive, and fun dental experience for every child Collaborate closely with dentists and clinical team members Position Requirements Required Qualifications Valid NYS Dental Hygienist license (or licensure in process) Excellent communication and chairside manner with children and parents Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a gentle, patient‑centered approach Team‑oriented, reliable, and positive attitude Preferred Qualifications Previous dental experience working with children of various age levels and capabilities, including children with special needs CPR/BLS certification Experience with Nitrous Oxide & LA Hepatitis B vaccine & other immunizations Physical Requirements Excellent dexterity and hand/eye coordination Able to lift dental instrumentation trays (up to 5 lbs) routinely, patients up to 10 lbs, and occasional 2‑person lift when assisting patients greater than 11 lbs into the chair Able to routinely handle dental materials or chemicals used in dental operatories or laboratories including, but not limited to, latex, acrylic, glutaraldehyde, etc. Able to stand or sit for short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of time PDFO is an equal opportunity employer, providing a fair and equal employment opportunity for all associates and job applicants regardless of protected status under federal, state or local law.
