Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Virginia-licensed Family Medicine physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves providing comprehensive primary care across multiple community health center sites, with scheduled weekday hours and a focus on preventive, acute, and chronic management within a patient-centered environment.

Opportunity Highlights

• Family Medicine locum tenens role in Richmond, Virginia
• Monday through Friday, 08:00-17:00, with potential extended hours until 19:00 on Monday and Tuesday
• Multiple clinic locations based on operational needs
• Average of 20 patient encounters daily for APPs, 25 for MDs
• All encounters to be closed by 08:30 AM the following day
• Community health center setting with infrastructure and support confirmed

Schedule Details

• Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00
• Extended hours until 19:00 on Monday and Tuesday
• Ongoing coverage with flexible start date

Clinical Scope

• Comprehensive primary care including preventive health, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
• Prescribing medications and coordinating referrals
• Performing physical examinations and interpreting tests
• Providing lifestyle counseling
• Participating in surgical, obstetrical, gynecological, and critical care procedures within scope
• Teaching residents and medical students (if applicable)

Requirements

• Active Virginia medical license
• Current DEA registration
• MD degree from an accredited institution
• Completion of family practice residency program
