Pega Software Engineer

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Pega Software Engineer

Position type: Full-time (Contract)
Duration: 18 Months (Possi. Ext. or Conv.)
Location: Charlotte, NC / Irving, TX / Chandler, AZ (Hybrid)

As a Pega Software Engineer, you will:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of Pega applications, with a strong emphasis on case management and workflow orchestration
• Actively contribute to development (rules, flows, integrations, UI, decisioning) as a hands-on lead, not just oversight
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable Pega designs
• Ensure solutions align with Pega Guardrails, performance standards, and enterprise architecture guidelines

• Design and implement end-to-end case lifecycles, including stages, steps, SLAs, approvals, and escalations
• Leverage case types, subcases, spin-offs, and wait shapes effectively
• Optimize user experience for case workers using Pega UX (sections, views, dashboards)
• System Integration Design and implement integrations

• Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, hands-on guidance
• Set coding standards and reusable assets to improve team efficiency
• Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and defect resolution

• Support deployment activities and production troubleshooting when needed
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and operational standards

The ideal candidate will have:

• Pega platform experience, with significant hands-on development
• Expertise in Pega Case Management
• Experience with Pega system integrations (REST/SOAP, services, connectors)

Solid understanding of:

• Pega rules engine
• Flow rules, decision tables, data pages
• Performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Pega certifications such as CSSA and/or CLSA

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Pega Infinity (latest versions preferred)
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for Pega
• Knowledge of cloud
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Nice to Have:

• CSSA certified, Cloud migration experience nice to have, any cloud
• Pega for workflow automation.
